We are looking for performers of all ages to help us put together a Christmas Revue in our new Theatre.

Come with a your favorite Christmas song prepared a cappella, a few jokes, or a snippet of a story to read out loud

-Dancers
-Comedy Sketches
-Readings
-Instruments
-Children
-Adults

We are looking to put together about 10 acts. If you don't have a song or act, come out and see us. We are happy to help you create something. You only need to come to one date for the auditions.

The Christmas Revue will go up December 6th and 7th only.

Open auditions for all characters in "The Importance of Being Earnest" at Hill Country Theatre. The show opens on Valentines Day, 2020.

Facebook Event if you intend on going by clicking the red link. You only need to go to one day of auditions. Actors will read for the scenes from the scripts.

Character Descriptions

John “Jack” Worthing, aka Ernest - 20’s to 30’s- a wealthy young gentleman who takes life seriously. He’s a friend of Algernon whose behavior he sometimes detests. John is Cecily’s guardian and is in love with Gwendolen Fairfax.

Algernon Moncrief - 20’s to 30’s- brilliantly witty and light-heartedly selfish nephew of Lady Bracknell and cousin to Gwendolen Fairfax. He’s Ernest’s (John/Jack’s) best friend. He’s in love with Cecily Cardew.

Gwendolen Fairfax - 20’s- Algernon’s young, aristocratic and charmingly superficial cousin and Lady Bracknell’s daughter. She’s in love with John/Jack/Ernest.

Lady Bracknell - 40+ - domineering, cunning, and snobbish. She’s Gwendolen’s mother, and she means to see her daughter well-married. A formidable woman, Lady Bracknell is used to having her own way.

Cecily Cardew - late teens to 20’s- a young woman given to romantic fantasies and intrigued by the wickedness of Jack’s brother. She is the simpler, more innocent country girl to Gwendolyn’s sophisticated city girl.

Miss Prism- 40+ - Cecily’s rigid governess. She’s somewhat prudish, but her softer side leans toward Dr. Chasuble. She once wrote a novel.

Dr. Chasuble - 40+ - the pleasant rector on John/Jack’s estate. He has a crush on Miss Prism.

Lane - any age, any gender- Algernon’s servant.

Merriman - any age, any gender- the butler at Jack’s country estate.

*Lane and Merriman will be played by the same actor
